An infusion is a large amount of herb brewed for a long time, whereas tea is a small amount of herb brewed for a short time.
Typically, approx. one handful of dried herb is placed in a quart jar which is then filled to the top with boiling water, tightly lidded and allowed to steep for 4-10 hours. After straining, it should be chilled to slow spoilage (2 or three days).
Dried herbs are considered best for infusions
Can be had iced or warm to your preference.
Good herbs for infusion are Nettle, Oat straw, Red Clover, Burdock root, Comfrey leaf.
Super easy step by step instructions:
Measure out one or two handfuls of herb into the empty quart jar.
Pour boiling water over herbs to almost full.......
Cover tightly and let sit for 4 to 8 hours........
Place stick into the holes in the filter, open the filter, and slowly pour the water into the filter.......

Ready! Just throw out the used herb (return to earth please)
Refrigerate the Nettles or Oatstraw infusion...ready to drink. You can drink as much as you want.......1 to 2 cups a day is ideal.
